Back to Therapists

monicaI received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Calvin College, Michigan. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the state of Washington and have a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a post-graduate certificate in Medical Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. I am a Mental Health Professional, Child Mental Health Professional, State Approved Supervisor and Asian and Pacific Islander Ethnic Minority Population Specialist, and an AAMFT (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists) Approved Supervisor.

I have experience working with children, youth, couples and families and I have a strong interest in the prevention and healing of mental health and relational issues.

I work with adults, teens and children or all ages who are struggling with depression, anxiety, relational conflicts, parenting, grief, and other issues that come with life.

I also have a special interest in relationships, and with my on going pursuit of certification in sex therapy, I love to help people work toward healthier and more fulfilling sexual and intimate relationships.

I utilize a variety of therapy models including: play therapy, attachment therapy, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, Mindfulness and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. My passion is to help individuals and families discover their strengths and resources. On your journey toward growth and fulfillment, it is my job to facilitate communication and to provide a safe environment, support, and guidance for change to take place.
