Back to Therapists

souchindaMy therapy approach is holistic, in that I incorporate a bit of Eastern and Western philosophies of healing. The human spirit is hard to break; we are more resilient than we think. In therapy, I work to help individuals find their strengths so they can find their way to a fuller and more peaceful life.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I have worked with diverse youths & families in such settings as community mental health, medical facilities and schools. I specialize in working with refugee and immigrant communities; multicultural individuals, youths, couples and families. I am a Certified Gottman Educator for the Bringing Baby Home Program and love working with new and expecting parents. I have also facilitated trainings to service providers on cultural competency in Washington State. I am recognized as an Asian/Pacific Islander Ethnic Minority Mental Health Specialist and a Child Mental Health Specialist.

I use a variety of therapy models including: cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and play therapy. I view these modalities and others as tools, rather than lens with which I look at all clients through. I take special care to understand the uniqueness of each individual and situations in order to properly guide the healing process.

I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
